Founded in 2011 as a spin-off from METU MEMS Research and Application Center, Mikrosens is a fabless semiconductor company that develops and markets cost-effective uncooled microbolometer infrared sensors and camera systems for a wide range of infrared imaging applications including automotive, security, machine vision, and consumer electronics.
Mikrosens develops cost-effective, patented, CMOS-based MEMS uncooled microbolometer infrared sensors and camera systems for a wide range of infrared imaging applications, including automotive, security, machine vision, and consumer electronics. Unlike current approaches of competitors (Ulis, FLIR, DRS, Raytheon, Mitsubishi) that require expensive and complex processes at dedicated fabs, Mikrosens’ microbolometer is developed to be produced at any standard CMOS or MEMS foundry, leading to cost advantage, simplicity, and flexibility.
